Prevention Focus on healthy teeth and gums
Our highly trained team of dental hygienists is dedicated to helping you achieve and maintain optimal oral health. We now know that inflammation in the mouth can adversely affect the overall health. Periodontal (gum) disease can contribute to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, respiratory disease and result in low birth weight, pre-term babies. In order to best maintain optimum health, it is imperative that you maintain the health of your gums. If you don't do it for yourself, do it for your loved ones - gum disease is communicable.
The most important thing you can do for your oral health is to floss your teeth every day. We believe that any type of floss is fine. Use whatever you like to use - just do it! The next most important thing is to brush thoroughly, for at least two minutes each time, at least twice a day. We recommend power brushes. There are a variety of sonic and other power brushes that make it much easier to do an impeccable job cleaning your teeth.
